reiki

The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”.  Reiki was discovered by Mikao Usui in the late 1800's while fasting in a deep meditation.  Reiki is used as an alternative therapy for the treatment of physical, mental and emotional issues we build up in our body from daily life activities.  It uses different hand placements on the body to deliver Qi energy to the client.  Science has proven the effectiveness of Reiki as it has been shown to reduce pain, reduce stress, relax the body, relieve anxiety, depression and so much more.  According to the American Hospital Association, in 2007, over 800 American hospitals offered Reiki as part of hospital services.  Reiki has no association with any religion so it compliments any faith or culture to promote physical and emotional healing.
